Andreas Moritz Procedure

Liver and Gallbladder Cleanse

The Therapeutic Fasting Association recommends performing the Andreas Moritz procedure before starting a water-only fasting programme. This procedure aims to reduce the likelihood of unpleasant symptoms during fasting.

Based on experience from fasting retreats, after completing this procedure, the chances of experiencing symptoms such as:

  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • headaches
  • general discomfort

are significantly reduced. In many cases, these symptoms either do not appear or are much milder.

Mandatory Condition Before the Procedure

Before performing the procedure, an abdominal ultrasound must be carried out to assess the liver and gallbladder.

The procedure should not be performed if gallstones larger than 3 cm are detected.

Preparation Phase (6 Days)

For six days before the procedure, consume:

  • 1 litre of fresh apple juice per day

The juice should be taken:

  • before meals
